PEPPERDINE UNIVERSITY SPECIAL COLLECTIONS & ARCHIVES

The Pepperdine University Special Collections and Archives are housed on the second floor of Payson Library in environmentally controlled rooms. The collections consist of items acquired by the Library that require special handling due to their rarity, value, and/or physical condition. Numerous friends of the University have donated many unique, rare books and artifacts, some of which have been kept in this area to maintain the integrity of the gift. Also housed in this area is the archival collection of official documents, papers, publications, and artifacts of Pepperdine and persons connected with the University.

The Library encourages use of materials held in Special Collections and Archives. Because of the rare and/or fragile nature of these items, access is restricted and they must be used under the supervision of library personnel. Please review Use of Collections.
